The magazine is for women hence the name of the magazine 'ELLE' it is a woman's name The picture on the front is famous singer Gwen Stefani. The picture shows her in a white, short fitted dress and looking flawless which suggests it is a woman's fashion magazine. The white dress shows purity and cleanliness. She is wearing a silver, thick,shiny belt around her waist showing off her figure which women would strive for. 

The picture is center forward and part of the 'L' is behind her head which appears the happen in every issue of 'ELLE'. The title is bold and big and placed at the top of the magazine which means it is aimed at women, whereas if it was aimed for men the title would be blue. 


There is different texts around the picture in different fonts and colours to catch the audiences eye. The back ground is white which makes the text stand out more and gives the idea of purity again. The word 'Your' is written in big on the front cover to grab the readers attention an make it direct to the reader.

 The writing around the picture are things that women would be interested in and would want to read more about such as fashion tips and how to impress men. 

It is a stereotype magazine for women as it has things like 'spring essentials' and things that women would want to read about or find out the latest fashion trends.
